Aurum is an Impact Investor with a focus on long-life, high-quality assets in special situations in India. Our investments are constructive and high value in exit-potential while being conservative in entry pricing, with each investment having a horizon of a decade.
In 2008, I ventured into real estate development with a clear mission of transforming urban landscapes. My goal has always been to create sustainable developments and communities while improving the lifestyles of those who inhabit them. Aurum Real-Estates’ expertise lies in designing, developing and operating marquee real estate projects. Our portfolio includes luxury residences, premium housing, IT-special economic zones, integrated townships, and retail developments. Our focus geographies in Mumbai Metropolitan Region are the South, Central, Western Suburbs, Navi Mumbai, and Thane. Our commercial development in Navi Mumbai was one of the first to receive a LEED Platinum certification.
With an intent to bring about a tech-led disruption in Indian Real Estate and backed by several years of Real Estate experience, I ventured into the PropTech space with our company, Aurum PropTech. As a technology company creating an Integrated PropTech ecosystem across the entire Real Estate value chain, – Aurum PropTech is developing products and solutions to bring enhanced customer experience and operational efficiencies in the sector. Our company offers 12+ PropTech products and solutions that are driven by cutting edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Augmented Realty and Virtual Reality to accelerate tech adoption in the Real Estate industry.
The soulful “Journey of Giving.”My philanthropic journey dates to the year 2015, when my wife Minoo and I discussed our desire to give back to the community in whatever way we could. Our inner calling to make a difference in other people’s lives led us to this “Journey of Giving” much sooner than we had planned. We formalized our intent by registering “Aurum Foundation”, a charitable trust and thus began our soulful journey which we have been nurturing with tremendous love, patience, and tenacity. “Aurum Foundation” was renamed as “Aurum ” in 2022.
By way of introduction, I am Ashish Deora, CEO of Aurum Ventures, which I founded in 1996 at the age of 21. I have been fortunate to gain extensive experience in multiple industries, including Mining and Exploration, Aviation, Automotive Components, Renewable Energy, Telecom, Real Estate, and PropTech. This has been possible due to the overall growth that India has witnessed Specifically in the last decade.
As a first-generation entrepreneur, I am passionate about driving Aurum towards meaningful endeavours while working with an excellent team and efficient capital. As a leader, nurturing entrepreneurship, innovation, and philanthropy is a daily activity.
As an alumnus of Harvard Business School, I have sought to incorporate some of the valuable lessons, such as the ‘Case Study’ method into my company culture and team trainings.
Having been fortunate to learn from successful exits and growth opportunities both in India and overseas, I am passionate about identifying and managing businesses in growth-led and data-centric sectors.
My firm belief lies in the potential of Indian entrepreneurs to create a significant impact in the coming decade. As a serial entrepreneur, nothing excites me more than identifying contrarian opportunities in businesses and skilfully mitigating risks. A voracious reader, my inspiration spans from Vivekananda to Bezos, with my current favourite book being ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’ by Paramhansa Yogananda.
Sundays are devoted to spending quality time with Aditya and Amrita, while my travels are an opportunity to keenly observe and learn from different cultures. Living by the principle from the Bhagavad Gita, I wholeheartedly focus on actions rather than results.

Largest planned walk-to-work campus in the IT hub of Navi Mumbai.
Delivered the first pre-certified LEED platinum office building in Navi Mumbai. Ascendas-Singbridge, a sovereign wealth fund in Singapore bought 1.4 million square feet of commercial space in Q Parć for INR 930 crore.

Acquired Majesco Limited, which is now Aurum PropTech Limited, a publicly traded company listed with both major exchanges. Acquired controlling stake in multiple PropTech companies.
Residential portfolio of Aurum Arts, Aurum Seven, Aurum Q Islands R4 to R7 across Mumbai Metropolitan Region is being developed. Commercial and Retail projects of Aurum Q3 and Aurum Square in Navi Mumbai is under construction.
Aurum acquired 14% stake in Shriram Properties from Walton St. Capital and Starwood Capital Group for INR 135 crores.
Aurum forayed into the redevelopment vertical with the acquisition of a residential society in South Mumbai.
Aurum completed its residential project, Aurum Arts at South Mumbai, Worli.
Aurum PropTech approves acquisition of up to 100% stake in Nestaway.
Aurum’s iconic 22-storey, LEED Platinum certified Building Q2 tower in Navi Mumbai has been sold to Singapore-based CapitaLand for INR 707 crore.
In February 2024, Aurum secured a 2064 sq. m. plot in Oshiwara for its Aurum Square project, featuring luxury residential with high street retail spaces.
